This term we have been doing lots of stuff like PE, cactus, sculpt gl, google music lab, ukulele, Kahoot, debates, tidy numbers, persuasive writing, and Matariki activities . At the start of term one, we started doing stuff like pe cactus and ukulele.
The first thing we learned was how to do soccer at PE with Naomi we played some games like Simon said. I really enjoyed playing Simon said. The next thing I did was cactus it was fun and hard. Ukulele was the next thing we learned that was fun but I found remembering the keys a bit tricky. Sculpt go was one of my favorites because we got to choose what we made. Google music lab was cool. Kahoot was nice but tricky. The debate practice was enjoyed. Tidy numbers were helpful. Persuasive writing was my favorite. And Matariki was the hardest.
How was your term?

What We Did This Term

Flax Weaving
On Thursday we did flax weaving because on Friday we are having sausages and we had to weave a boat to put them in instead of a servet. For me the weaving was fun and enjoyable. The first thing that we had to do was grab 13 pieces of flax. Then grab 7 and place them down then grab another and make it go under over under over until you reach the end and do that with the five and then leave the last one. Then grab the middle two on the side with seven and fold them over and then grab one of the ones on the edge and fold it over. Next the last piece of flax and cut it into 3 pieces and tie two of the sides with two pieces and then tie the other two sides together.

Tidy Numbers
This week my maths group has been learning Tidy numbers. You can use tidy numbers when you have maths problems like 198+56. Tidy numbers helps when you have big numbers that are hard to put together. tidy numbers can help you depending on the type of problem.

Giant Skateboard
Today We had three people come to our school to show us a ginormous Skateboard that they had made to promote skateboarding and the New Zealand team in the Olympics. It was way bigger than any of the seniors. I only just had to bend down to fit underneath it. On the bottom there was a really cool pattern. The skateboard was 18 times bigger than a usual skateboard. Have you ever seen a skateboard this big?
