Marching Ants

This is my Marching Ants problem.   We did it for computational  thinking.  It was a classroom challenge.  At first, no one in the class really knew what they were doing. It was really tricky. I thought I had it once but actually, I didn't. When we got a lot further through,  we worked up by starting at one counter and working our way up to five. We also practiced with dots and counters. Have you ever done something like this before?
